Plates n' Platters!
*Previous pottery/ceramic experience required: Must be able to confidently center and throw at least 3lbs
It’s time to make great plates and phatter platters on the wheel!
Struggling to evenly spread out that mass of clay into a large plate or impressive platter? This one day workshop will serve up all the info you need to successfully take your plates n’ platters game to greater widths!
We’ll walk you through each step from wedging to centering, all the way to opening and shaping your forms. We’ll show you must know tips and tricks to reduce wobbling, minimize cracking, and ensure you have the skills to successfully push 6-8lbs of clay into plates and platters!
All clay and tools are included in your registration fee

Cost: $95+GST
NOTE:
This is a ‘process class’; the intention is not to keep everything you make, but rather focus on learning a new skill. However, you are welcome to take your work home with you, but please bring your own bat if you wish to keep your work.
Bats are also available for sale at the studio if you wish to take them home.
Trimming will be discussed but not demonstrated.
Bisque firing is included - If you wish to trim and dry your work on your own, you may bring your pieces back to fire with us :)
