Info:

• Cost: $95 + GST per person

• Required minimum of 6 participants, maximum 13 for wheel throwing, up to 18 for handbuilding

• Time: approx 2.5hrs which includes time for clean up and socializing.

• 2 weeks advance booking and a $200+GST deposit (50% refundable upon cancellation up to 7 days prior to event). Rescheduling permitted up to 7 days prior to event. The deposit will be deducted from the total amount due at the time of the event.

• We encourage a fun, light, and social atmosphere where food and drinks are permitted :)

• All events/classes/workshops at mudlab are 18+

What’s the program?

Your group will warm up and get a feel for the clay by making a small *pinch pot by hand, then we’ll move on to the big guns and get muddy making a bowl on the wheel!

You’ll learn the process of centering, opening, pulling up, and expanding your form outwards into your new favourite bowl :)

No experience required; your instructor will guide your group through the process, making wheel throwing approachable and fun for everyone.

Once the throwing is done, you get to choose your favourite glazes, and your instructor will finish the remaining process on your behalf. See the bottom of this page if you’re interested in learning what happens to your pieces next!

Refunds/Cancellations:

• Cancellations are accepted 7 days prior to your your event start time

• The deposit is 50% refundable upon cancelation before 7 days

• A minimum of 6 participants will be charged for events booked from 6-9 people, a minimum of 10 will be charged for bookings of 10-12 and a minimum 13 for any events booked for 13+

*A pinch pot is a small pot made by ‘pinching’ the clay into a desired form by hand. It can be a bowl, trinket dish, cup, ash tray, or what ever your creativity sparks. Consider it an homage to the original way pottery has been done for thousands of years
