Ever wanted to try the art of slip casting? Now’s your chance! Jump off the wheel and join us in this 1 day workshop and make your very own slip casted cups and plate!
Date: Sun Nov 1, 2026 @ 2 - 4pm
Cost: $75 + GST
In this collaborative workshop, Dima of SIND STUDIO will guide you through the process of preparing and choosing your own porcelain slip, mixing various colours to create unique patterns and designs, and pouring into moulds to make 2 cups (think espresso sized cups) and a small side plate. Nuances such as slip consistency, pouring techniques, timing, and tools/techniques to safely release items from moulds will all be taught so you can get slip casting on you own!
Each participant will get to finish their own pieces through the entire “making” process other than firing/glazing which we will do for you. You can add handles, carve designs, or keep things simple and elegant - it’s up to you!
Items will be food, dishwasher, and even oven safe and ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after the workshop date.
Please note this is NOT a slip cast mould making workshop. Mould making will be briefly discussed but moulds will be provided for use, we will not be making moulds in this workshop
Refunds are accepted up to 7 days prior to a class or workshop start date, less an admin fee of $50 for classes/workshops worth $200 and up, or $25 for those below $200. Refunds are not possible within 7 days of a class or workshop commencing.
